Special Order for Julie
A friend of mine recently added a grandson to the family. She wanted a 'boy' bib and asked if I had anything I could whip up. That's all I needed. I was sure I had a fabric to fit the bill.
Here is a 'boy' bib with spaceships on a blue background. I also made a burp cloth to go with it. I hope she likes them.

For the Love of Babies and Baby Bibs
Hey....I have another reason to make baby bibs. My cousin Amy had a baby girl justa few weeks ago. Her name is Mya (that's A-M-Y with the letters re-arranged). How cool is that?
It's great to have a new baby in the family and it gives me great pleasure to make some itty-bitty baby bibs. Here are the three that I made and gifted this past weekend.
Here's my Little Guy holding Mya at the
birthday party we attended on Saturday.
And this is "Mr. Teenager" holding her.

Hearts, Frogs and some Japanese Fabric bibs.
A closer look.

A Touch of Spring Color is Needed About Now
I think snow is wonderful. Really, I do. But...I'm a bit tired of it already. So I took it upon myself to spend some time in the studio today to 'think Spring'. I came up with some bibs that remind me of springtime -- green apples and flowers. They are in the finishing touch stage and will soon make their way to either Etsy or Art Fire. I haven't quite decided yet.

Craft a Story or Craft a Craft?
My oldest son is a sixth grader and has been studying the 60's in America. His class has been reading lots of stories about racial segregation, marches, very important speeches and some very troubling times.
His latest assignment was to either write a bibliography about a person who lived through the 1960's or create a God's Eye. He's been writing LOTS of papers lately, so he chose the craft project. (The boy takes after his dad, doesn't he?).
Here's a link to help you create your own God's eye. We used two dowel rods and three skeins of yarn. (We have quite a bit of yarn left over for other projects - woo hoo!!)
Here are some photos of our project:
And in other craft news, here's a project I managed to eek out while I was home with a sick kiddo last Wednesday. My little guy camped out on mom and dad's bed while I traced, cut and sewed up a couple bibs (they each need a snap, but otherwise they are d-o-n-e. I found the fabric at WalMart. One of the bibs is a birthday gift for a curly-haired cousin, the other is for sale in my Etsy shop. You choose: snap or Velcro

Another Finished Project!
Not that I'm trying to push winter and Christmas out of the way, but ... I found some really great green apple print fabric and decided it would be perfect for a baby bib. Here's the result:
