Having a Heat Wave!

Break out the Bermuda shorts and suntan lotion, the temperature was above zero degrees Fahrenheit today. Woo Hoo!

In all seriousness, it actually felt warm compared to the past couple days. How strange is that? I’ve been thankful that my truck starts every morning (since it sits in the driveway overnight). I’m thankful for a new furnace and plenty of hot water. It’s the simple things, you know?

Granted, not much of a post, but just wanted to let everyone know that I am thankful for so many things. And for so many people.

Have a good evening.

Testing BlogJet

I have installed an interesting application - BlogJet. It's a cool Windows client for my blog tool (as well as for other tools). Get your copy here: http://blogjet.com

An Idea ... Gone Bad?

Here's the mystery project. I was not even going to show you how it turned out. Seriously. It's a keychain silly! The idea was to make a small pillow with a button in the center for 'tufting' purposes. Like I said, the idea sounded like a good one, but ... in reality, I don't like it.

You know how sometimes you think you have the 'best' idea? And then you make the item and it turns out like crap? Well...that's the mystery project in a word.

Go ahead. Laugh. Snicker. It's okay.

Today's Craft - Valentine's Day Key Chain:

Materials Needed

Step One: Drill a small hole in the right-hand 'shoulder' of the heart. The hole needs to be large enough to pass the ribbon, string, etc., through it.

Step Two: Make sure the edges are smooth, the drilled hole is cleaned out and then paint the entire heart red. Those hands in the picture are my six-year old son's -- showing how it's done.

Step Three: Tie the ribbon around the split-ring.

Step Four: Tie the loose ends of the ribbon to the heart.

The Finished Product!
Super Easy! Super Fast! Super Kid-Friendly. This makes a great craft project for a Cub Scout Den Meeting, Brownie Meeting, or just some fun 'craft time' at home with the kids. And Mom will really appreciate this a sweetheart of a Valentine's Day gift. :-)
